Organik Kimya’s Mentoring Program marks a major milestone in its 10th year with an international accreditation achievement.

For a decade, the program has supported employee development, fostered a strong learning culture, and promoted trust-based leadership, becoming one of Organik Kimya’s strongest cultural pillars with its globally recognized structure. As part of the 10th-year celebrations, the Mentoring Program achieved another significant success on an international scale by becoming the first Turkish company to be accredited by The Mentoring School, a UK-based and highly respected institution that sets global standards in mentoring. This accreditation confirms that the mentoring approach developed over the past ten years has reached international “best-practice” level.

We shared this important achievement with our mentors and mentees during an event where we celebrated both the closure of the 9th term of our Mentoring Program and its 10th anniversary. Throughout the event, participants created a strong shared learning environment by exchanging their experiences and insights gained over the year. One of the most inspiring moments of the program was the presentation titled “The Connectome Effect: Transforming Brain Connections through Mentoring” delivered by Dr. Selma Kalkavan. Her talk offered a broad perspective, ranging from the transformative power of trust-based relationships in mentoring models to neuroscience-driven mechanisms that strengthen learning cultures within organizations.

At Organik Kimya, mentoring is more than a process of knowledge transfer; it is positioned as a psychological safety space where employees can express themselves openly, ask questions, discover their strengths, and confidently pursue their development journeys. With this perspective, the program has served for ten years as a key pillar that makes openness, trust, and learning visible within our corporate culture.

To date, more than 75 employees have actively participated in the program, with strong results reflected in data: over the past three years, 85.7% of active mentees have taken on new roles or expanded responsibilities, while long-term retention among mentees has reached 72.3%. Based on participant feedback, the program structure has also been strengthened with improved matching processes, structured meeting modules, and mid-term check-ins. As a result, the Mentoring Program has evolved into a structure that responds more quickly to individual needs while increasing organizational impact in its 10th year.

Looking ahead, we view accreditation not as an end result, but as a new beginning. In the upcoming period, we aim to include our mentors in this framework and become an organization that develops internationally accredited mentors. Through this approach, we will both certify the quality of our mentoring methodology at an individual level and extend Organik Kimya’s knowledge and experience into the global mentoring ecosystem, creating a broader impact.

We sincerely thank all our mentors, mentees, and colleagues who have embraced and contributed to this journey. Our Mentoring Program will continue to nurture a culture of trust and strengthen Organik Kimya’s future.
